Jules will never grow up!

It’s a well known fact, 21st century thirtysomethings have a habit of refusing to grow up and become fully fledged adults. Their favourite hobby? Wandering the streets of Paris and clearing out the capital’s trendy concept stores, from Colette to Afwosh whilst passing through the Pop Market. This “it-store” in Canal Saint-Martin is decked out like Ali Baba’s cave, offering a selection of fashion accessories and hilarious decorative objects!

Jules is in love with Lady Jane

During their latest night out at Social Club, Jules’ girlfriend went into a bit of a rage… And why? Her worst enemy was wearing the same slinky dress as her! So without hesitation, Jules got her out of there and took her straight to Lady Jane… Who’s that, I hear you say? It’s actually a rock boutique hidden behind the name of a London heroin, established by Anne-Sophie Nicolas.

This arty little store exclusively sells clothes and accessories from international vintage designers, from Valentine Gauthier to Supertrash, Suncoo or Mlle San. And as a bonus little treat, Anne-Sophie Nicolas has created her own range of accessories (she was trained at ESMOD), which you will quickly become addicted to.

A Top Tip: Lady Jane offers rock and roll photo exhibitions several times a year. It is the perfect opportunity to take part in a private viewing, meeting the artist, and buying a number of unpublished works!

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 8pm

Wandering around South Pigalle with Jules, we love it!

Girls – if there is one thing they love more than anything else, it’s a romantic shopping trip. So just imagine a romantic shopping trip, but with Jules! In the arms of our favourite Parisian dandy man, they wander the streets of SoPi, South Pigalle for the uninformed, in search of sophisticated designers and cheeky discoveries.

So what’s on offer? There is a fine selection of young international designers, the majority of which are exclusively available in France! It sparks an opportunity to get your dose of “hip”, leaving the girls mad with jealousy. And before everything else (because I can sense you’re a bit worried), take note that these pieces, although unique and quite rare, are totally affordable (your bank manager will like that!). So, we’ll sort out a shopping trip for next week yeah?

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 7.30pm.

Jules loves the cool new gadgets at Afwosh

Jules thinks of himself as a bit of a prankster. So, when he fancies finding something that will make his friends laugh, he merely has to head over to Afwosh, the amusing gadget shop created by Cholé and Emilie. Here, everything is totally random: Darth Vader rings, panama hats, fast food erasers, chic iPhone cases, handmade jewellery chains and screen printed tshirts to name but a few.

This Parisian concept store is entirely dedicated to fashion accessories, trendy clothing for men, women and children, as well as unusual and fun objects. Jules is totally incapable of going there without buying at least one little trinket for himself or his godson.

Open from Monday to Saturday, from 11 am to 8 pm.

Jules is a fan of Repetto’s « Zizi »!

True Parisian that he is, Jules is crazy for Repetto’s shoes. He and his love never hesitate to cross the threshold of the “petits rat” store located Rue de la Paix to get their hands on THE newest it-pair. That being said, Jules is absolutely addicted to his “zizis”, Serge Gainsbourg’s flagship shoes, which he always wore! Whether it is to go out, see his family or friends, he always relies on this timeless model. It is a safe bet and therefore Jules knows he will always look stylish.

And because he loves spoiling his sweetheart, with each new collection he gifts his love with a new pair of shoes. One thing is for sure, the “Cendrillon” launched by the legendary BB just makes his heart melt.

These models are must-haves for any dressing-room!

Six good reasons why to go to Galeries Lafayette

The Galeries Lafayette is a town in a town measured at 70 000m2 which exists for more than 100 years. The equivalent of half the French population walks through their doors each year…! So when Jules goes to visit, he knows he will find an abundance of clothes, makeup, perfume and people, people, people! However what he does not know is that the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann offers a number of services (at a price or free of charge) to its clients! Personal shopper, deco consultant, cooking classes, unusual locations… those are six good reasons to go to the Galeries Lafayette!

- Women’s footwear department: knowing that a French woman buys on average six pairs of shoes a year, the women’s footwear department located underground of the Galeries does not disappoint! 6 000 m2, 150 brands, pairs of shoes ranging from 15 to 2000€, a shoe repair service and a spa dedicated exclusively to feet. It is impossible to leave this place empty handed!

- Personal shopper service: Jules feels that you are having difficulty finding your style! Do not panic, the Galeries Lafayette can offer you a personal shopper! In a private room, you will be able to try on the clothes that the stylist has concocted for you to suit your tastes, trends and budget (Free service).
If you are tempted by a complete makeover, this is also possible! Diagnosis of colours and silhouette, study of your wardrobe, trying on a selection of clothes in a private room, hair cut and colouring advice at the Maniatis salon and a makeup session with a professional… With all of this, Jules is bound to be happy!

In the kitchen, it is the chefs Pierre Hermé and Fumiko Kono who offer a half traditional/ half modern menu where France meets Japan!

Jules, my Lord !

Jules is feeling dandy right now, and he would like to shake up his wardrobe. So for once, it is not he who follows me for hours on my shopping sprees, but I who insist to accompany him. I have therefore recommended a department store for those with traditional tastes: Old England.

This emblem has been a real institution, since 1867 and embodies true English class and style. There are the classic men’s fashions and accessories, but also provides Italian brands such as Tod’s and Acqua di Parma. The store is huge, spread over three floors (Jules nearly died and went to heaven) and the storefront itself is impressive. But we are not overwhelmed; we head straight up to the menswear department. We pick out shirts, trousers, perfume, shoes … and why not a hat? In any case, we will not forget to pass by the array of coats, to find a duffle coat worthy of the name (for next winter obviously). Little tip: hunt down your most wanted and wait for the sales starting the 22nd of June.

Before leaving, we will also turn to the radiant “beauty” section: vintage razors, old combs, colognes … Very vintage means very Jules! Slightly cheaper, but Jules knows that quality has a price …
