Jules slums in with Etat Libre d’Orange

Hotel slut, Magnificent secretions, Real blonde, Bendelirious… Those are the names of the fragrances in the small boutique rue des Archives, Etat libre d’Orange. For this unusual perfumer, no name is out of line and the motto of the house is clear: “Perfume is dead, long live perfume”! We’ve entered the den of the anarchist of perfumers, and Jules loves it!
The goal of Etienne de Swardt, founder of the brand, is to stray far from perfumes sold by great houses he finds too “smooth” and allow the creation of outrageous, stunning and disturbing juices to soar. To achieve this result, he invites the most talented perfume experts, rock’n'roll designers, give them a story, a word and leaves them to create a fragrance around the theme.

For Sécrétions magnifiques, one of the most symbolic perfumes of the brand, Antoine Lie, perfume designer for Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Paul Smith and Sonia Rykiel, worked on the four S: Sueur (“Sweat”), Sperme, Sang (“Blood”) and Salive (“Saliva”). Result: a fragrance telling a perverted, sexual and sensual story with mucous, milky and metallic notes. We love it or hate the smell right away, but essentials are there. The fragrances sold by Etat libre d’Orange are unique. They tease people and convey feelings, emotions. Long story short, something happens!
Then there’s the case of the brand of rue des Archives. Hanging out in this boutique encourages to let our most private desires, passions and fantasies rise! A libertine and liberating olfactory journey!

You can try a few perfumes by Etat libre d’Orange at the reception desk of Jules. To purchase them, you’ll have to visit the boutique on rue des Archives.

Etat Libre d’Orange is taking part in the Bouche(s) contest organized by the Jules Hotel and offering its perfume Bendelirious.

Tomorrow is the last Drawing Day at Drouot!

Drouot is actually the first place in the world dedicated to art where nearly 6,000 visitors come each day. The Drouot Auction House is well known unlike the area, where art dealers have settled, for some of them centuries ago. Last week, Jules introduced his Julie to the Chairman of the Drouot Association, Régis Le Minoux, aka “the Breton”, manager of the Enora Gallery, specialized in seascapes and sea painters. Today, he goes back for a walk in the gallery because tomorrow, Friday, is already the last day of the event on drawing. He would like to buy a gift for his girlfriend who loves charcoal and watercolors… What a romantic, Jules!

His friend and chairman of the association, Régis, guides him to a few gallery owners.

The Enora Gallery, Cour 16, Hervé Péron and all the other art dealers participate in the “Dessin au Quartier Drouot” event.
From March 25th 2011 to April 8th 2011 in Paris, in the 9th arrondissement.
