When Jules walks passed rue des Martyrs, he inevitably finds himself at number 39. This eccentric, beautiful and colourful window display (with images of the owner’s creations) is none other than that of Arnaud Delmontel’s bakery, where the baking-guru set shop 10 years ago.
Voted Patisserie of 2006, Best Baguette in Paris in 2007 and Best Millefeuilles in Île-de-France in 2010, his reputation is second to none! His philosophy: “To offer the good, the beautiful, the generous, joyful and one of a kind creations, every day at the street corner; to become the artisan of little pleasures” and we salute him!
His recipes are creative, colourful, innovative and above all, delicious! Peach Melba, Wild Strawberry and Vanilla Vacherin, Strawberry Cheesecake, Macaroon Bombs, Carambar Passion (but also pastries and all kinds of breads)… just impossible to resist! With food lovers of the Rive Droite and trendy boho’s, Arnaud Delmontel is the place to go to for many Parisians and tourists who consider this as the ultimate bakery in Paris.
The small + summer special : The bakery is currently offering « picnic baskets » the luxurious kind with sweet and salty delights, a fine bottle of red and a blanket… they have thought of everything!
