This Sunday is Mother’s Day ! What will Jules be able to offer his mother? A perfume, a dress, jewelry? It’s always the same problem: will it fit her, will she like the colour… Well, you can’t go wrong with chocolates. And it is at A la Mère de Famille that Jules selects his favorites. 250 years and not a fault, the house is even more modern than ever with a corner at Printemps and an online service (in case Jules gets lazy at the last minute).
As for the shop, the one in the 9th arrondissement (the first of their eight addresses in Paris) is simply amazing. You drool just by looking through the shop’s retro bottle green glass windows inspired by Faubourg Montmartre.
Caramels, sweets, marshmallows, gingerbread, nougats, marzipan, Florentines, pralines, lollipops, Montmartre’s “palets”, blocks and boxes of chocolate… Jules has more than enough to choose from. And I hope this means that he will get me a little gift too!
Open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 1pm.
