Long live Spring! Jules, who likes to climb the butte Montmartre on his bicycle, has found a bargain not far from the hotel: rent an electric bike!
It’s low cost and not only it saves Jules’ energy but it also saves the planet’s: a small battery attached to the pedal makes the uphill climb seem effortless and it increases the speed (up to 25 km/h), all without oil or excess. The battery recharges at a base (a complete recharge amounts to about 0.06 €, that is to say 1 € for 1000 kilometers!). At 5 € an hour, Jules would be wrong to deprive himself of it. Especially as Jules likes to shop: the bicycles though a little quirky but frankly very pleasant, many models are available, as well as their accompanying accessories (a rain cape with a hood that turns with your head so it doesn’t blind you) and good advices…
Christophe, the manager with his southern accent, is a friend of Jules. He is a cyclist through-and-through (and very contagious): he left his work as a carpenter to pursue his passion for cycling. In his workshop, which faces his boutique, he repairs all types of bikes (you can also rent old-school bikes) and where he boast a certain ethical code shown by the certificates provided with the sale of bikes and all spare parts. Jules is giving great consideration to his idea of buying a bike. His Parisian status entitles him to financial support from the City Hall, which supports this, quiet and odor-free, mode of transportation. For Christophe and Jules, the electric bike is “addictive and good for one’s health!” What more could Jules want!
