Jules will never grow up!
It’s a well known fact, 21st century thirtysomethings have a habit of refusing to grow up and become fully fledged adults. Their favourite hobby? Wandering the streets of Paris and clearing out the capital’s trendy concept stores, from Colette to Afwosh whilst passing through the Pop Market. This “it-store” in Canal Saint-Martin is decked out like Ali Baba’s cave, offering a selection of fashion accessories and hilarious decorative objects!

You can’t help but fall in love with the stationary corner and the bookshop, or the designated children’s zone; you can’t deny that there is always a little something in kid’s corner that you really really want, as grown up as you might be! It is the perfect place to buy an original present for the inevitable end of year parties which are only just round the corner.
Open Tuesday to Friday from 11am to 3pm, and from 4pm to 7.30pm, Saturdays from 11am to 7.30pm, and Sundays from 3pm to 7pm.

Jules finds his femininity at Gals Rock!
This is a place that Jules discovered by accident, while spending an evening with his group of friends in the Pigalle quarter, looking for a bar… Passing in front of Gals Rock, the guitar riffs titillated his ears, being the rock amateur that he is, and he could not stop himself from making a musical stop in this odd shop. Why is it odd? Because Gals Rock is dedicated solely to the feminine rock culture!

Here, girls find the ‘diamond rocker’ which is in them and buy clothes, books, vinyl’s, accessories or 100% Rock DVDs! The opportunity to share musical culture, by discovering a list of incredible female rock artists is here in this shop.

A few times a month; Pauline and Clémence, the directors of Gals Rock, organise free showcases : where Jules will go to very regularly from now on ! There is no shortage of fake moustaches to buy, also sold by the boutique, to pretend to be manly men… But his darling gets them and imitates him to (gently) mock him!

Pierre Jancou is alive !
Jules is a loyal guy. He would walk the Earth and swim the seven seas, when he’s in love! So when young Chef Pierre Jancou closed down his restaurant, Racine, on Passage des Panoramas, Jules was thoroughly depressed… Where was he supposed to eat now that his favourite eatery had closed down? Obviously he hadn’t taken into account the young chef’s ability to surprise him with a new Parisian address.

Behind the Grands Boulevards, a stone’s throw from Gare de l’Est, Pierre Jancou opened up Vivant, a bistrot nestled in a former 1903’s birdshop. Ceramic tiles from that period cover floors and ceiling, Formica tables; this unusual location delights enthusiasts of authenticity and exoticism. One can relish in a simply yet tasty cuisine with dishes such as boiled Andouillette or melted foie gras, two of the bistro’s specialty. The wait was worth it, Pierre Jancou is back for back, as is his awesome bobo bistro.
