Discover the winning pictures of the Lip(s) contest!
At last, this is the D-Day: it’s high time we revealed the winners’ names of the pictures contest focused on « Lip(s) » organized by the Jules Hotel. And we are delighted to share the pictures that seduced the jury! It has been a very tough choice since you have been so many to take part in the game and to send us your most beautiful pictures of sensual, smiling, mischievous, smart lips…
Grace Leo (founder of GLA Hotels), Eve Saint-Ramon (professional photographer), Jean-Louis Descoins (Manager of the Jules Hotel) and Hoosta staff (collection of worldwide luxurious and design hotels) are today very proud to present the winners’ four pictures!
* 1st Prize *
What a look! Jules has been mesmerized by the undeniable sensuality of this picture. What stories are these two pairs of exquisite lips telling to each other? Margaux Pignard’s picture wins the 1st Prize: one week end for 2 in Junior Suite at the Jules Hotel. Congratulations!
* 2nd Prize *
Both very uncluttered and sophisticated thanks to its audacious framing, this subtle picture gives to Ines Armandon the opportunity to win the 2nd Prize of our contest: Bendelirious by Etat Libre d’Orange, a daring perfume mixing champagne and cherry for an exceptional fragrance. Congratulations!
* 3rd Prize *
“Well”, Jules said when seeing this picture, “this place reminds me of somewhere!”: indeed, it seems that this very beautiful picture has been shot … at the bar of the Jules Hotel ! Hats off to Mickael Moine for his approach and for the originality of his picture, which allow him to receive the 3rd Prize of our contest: two custom cocktails in a place he knows well: the bar of the Jules Hotel!
* Special Jury Prize *
For its adequacy with the vintage spirit of the Jules and its enigmatic beauty, the picture of S. Remires wins the Special Jury Prize: the Lips designed by the prestigious decorators of the Jules, the sexy icon of the Hotel and the starter of the contest. Well done!

Lip(s) Contest: See you on Monday !
Lately, the Jules Hotel has felt nothing but euphoria! The Lip(s) contest jury has had a hard time discussing and naming the winning pictures. All the beautiful snapshots you sent have particularly been submitted to the expert eye of Eve Saint-Ramon, the Pin-Up photographer, who shot a part of her new book Recettes de Beauté (Beauty Recipes) at the Jules Hotel. Grace Leo, the very chic founder of GLA Hotels, has, her too, selected carefully her favorite pictures.
Thus, all members of this exceptional jury and the Jules Hotel staff are more than happy to reward very soon the participants for their patience: on Monday, the names of the happy winners will finally be revealed!
Who will be lucky enough to get a week-end for 2 in a Junior Suite at the Jules Hotel? Which one of you will go back home with Bendelirious, the exquisite perfume of Etat Libre d’Orange? Wandering around South Pigalle with Jules, we love it!
Girls – if there is one thing they love more than anything else, it’s a romantic shopping trip. So just imagine a romantic shopping trip, but with Jules! In the arms of our favourite Parisian dandy man, they wander the streets of SoPi, South Pigalle for the uninformed, in search of sophisticated designers and cheeky discoveries.
So what’s on offer? There is a fine selection of young international designers, the majority of which are exclusively available in France! It sparks an opportunity to get your dose of “hip”, leaving the girls mad with jealousy. And before everything else (because I can sense you’re a bit worried), take note that these pieces, although unique and quite rare, are totally affordable (your bank manager will like that!). So, we’ll sort out a shopping trip for next week yeah?

Jules loves trattorias!
Ah Italie. Jules would sell his soul to have some Italian origins, because in his eyes, Italians have all the class, the style, and the charm, and of course that beautiful sing song language. Being the true dandy Parisian that he is, he dreams of having these qualities (you have to remind him that actually he has all of them!). So to compensate for his misfortune at not being Italian, he spends as much time as possible in trattorias; these are the real deal, just like the ones you used to find in Italy. His destination of choice at the moment? Il Circolo, the totally new Italian restaurant in the 9th arrondissement.
A few years back, Jules met Olivia Silberstein, who, after a year spent in Venice as part of her studies, decided to return to Paris to open up her own establishment, built in the image of the country she fell in love with. She teamed up with Luca, the founder of the famous Pizetta de l’Avenue Trudaine, and so the adventure began!
Open since the 24th September, Il Circolo hits the nail on the head: neat decor, contemporary cuisine, and a casually chic atmosphere. Jules loves meeting his closest friends there and spending the nights drinking Spritz (the famous Venetian cocktail), before gorging himself on prawn and courgette carbonara or maybe even grilled aubergine served with buffalo mozzarella and fresh tomatoes. A true delicacy!
And for dessert? Obviously it’s all about the Tiramisu!

Organic Pizzas at GreenPizz
At the heart of Jules there is a Sicilian (or so he believes). Because to see him devour a Borealis pizza (ricotta, smoked salmon, dill, cucumber) at Green Pizz, you would almost believe that he was weaned on Pizza instead of the bottle!

In this eco-friendly and organic Pizzeria on Rue Cadet, you taste oval pizzas (pretty unconventional) with a fresh taste and a large size. Extremely colorful; these pizzas are made only from organic products, AOC or from sustainable farming. Their pasta is 100% organic, made with whole meal flour and wheat. Yum!
As a bonus, this restaurant, which practices recycling, only uses biodegradable packaging and delivers their pizzas on an electric scooter or a skateboard! A great way of combining environmental awareness and pleasing your taste buds at the same time. Everything that Jules loves!

Just be a little more patient: The results of the Lip(s) contest, which gathered many of your most beautiful snapshots, should be announced anytime soon. Not only have participations been numerous but also of the highest quality, which did not help the jury to choose!
But deliberations are on their way and starting early November, you will know whether you have won one of the numerous prizes at stake: a week-end for two in a Junior Suite at the Hotel Jules, one Etat Libre d’Orange perfume, two custom cocktails at the bar of the Jules Hotel but also the sexy iconic “Lips” of the Hotel Jules.
Jules already thanks all of the participants for their beautiful pictures of luscious lips, mischievous smiles, and sulky pouts. And most of all, Jules is very excited about sharing them with you: let’s meet very soon on this blog and on the Facebook page of the Hotel Jules where the winners’ pictures will be released!

Jules is just a big kid really!
Don’t forget that Jules is actually an uncle! He loves spending his Wednesday afternoons with his sister’s son, Théo, whom he can’t help but shower with gifts. Being the avid art and music fan that he is, Jules takes him to discover an unusual place, right in the heart of beautiful, bohemian Paris: La Péniche Antipode.
In 2002, an investment by the company Abricadabra transformed this old freight barge into a theatre dedicated to children and their parents. Anchored on the Villette basin, it shows a range of different dramatic or dance acts, as well as the occasional concert.
Jules isn’t averse to grabbing a few drinks whilst there either, his nephew going for a refreshing lemonade while he would choose a Brazilian Maté or, if it’s a really hot day, a Love Potion (apple, blackcurrant, strawberry etc). At la Péniche Antipode, all of the products and drinks are from independent sources and are fair trade, which is why Jules likes it so much. It is just another reason for people to discover this artistic and laid back venue.
